| Electromagnetic Multiple-disc brakes E1TM…6 |

E1TM…6 brakes must be lubricated/cooled with gear oil of a viscosity of 1.7 to 2.5° C at 50° C. 24 V DC supply voltage is connected directly to a two-lead terminal. In order to protect the coil against breakdown when the current is switched off a suppressor should be incorporated in the supply system in the form of a resistor of a resistance 8 to 10 times higher than the coil resistance and a rating of 2 to 10 W, connected in parallel to the coil, or a semiconductor diode or a resistor and coil.

Large contact surface between brake and machine body and provision of adequate lubrication ensures favourable balance of heat of the brake at maximum admissible loads. The gap between bush and body considerably reduces the shaft magnetic flux whereby advantageous dynamic characteristics and low residual torque are obtained. The brakes do not require adjustment in service.
In assembly maximum coaciality error of face D4 in relation to D should be 0.2 mm.
